ba:ab leads the spectator into rhythmic univers which develops through the narrative effect of electronic media and interactive sound generation. Brainwaves (EEG) captured live from a spectator together with a sensitive soundscape and the original noise created by the dancers movement result in an original sound-collage. The circular area in which the action takes place is visible from all perspectives and divided by a flexible screen: The dancers change continuously the spaces (a/b) and transform the videoprojection into a haptic object.

ba:ab creates various levels of perception within a poetic environment . The human brain, dischargement of stress and (day)dreaming make up the major subject of this research.Starting point of practical visual and choreographic research:
Listening, the connection between here and there and the concentration of inner rhythms and reactions become important elements. Life as a series of ups and downs, symmetry in/sight; and movement as a kinetic reaction to sound impulses.

Dance – ephemeral art in time and space, transforms into a breath of air, similar to the poetic word by Mallarmé, a vibrating continuum relative to the disappearance of the body and analogues to the electric current; experiencing the body through the vibration it senses from both within and without. Bodytension. Movement in the interstices of the soul.
