Mimikry (AT)

A dance performance

The performance deals with the mechanisms of camouflage focussing on the necessitiy in working environments to fit to a certain, from the outside requested body code. In other words we are thinking about that people have to reinvent themselves to adapto to modern-day employment that is characterised by flexibilisation and precariousness. What is interesting for us is the idea of camouflaging in social surroundings. How people conform themselves to certain situations, how they disguise in certain situations in language and movement as a survival strategy.
Within this concept idea another question arises: What does the act of creation mean and how does it show up in the tactical communication of everyday life? Moving away from the norm can be fatal. (although ‚being different’ is used – in publicities e.g. to create other norms)
